The Bundesliga gaint, Bayern Munich FC are close to an agreement with the Canadian defender Alphonso Davies who plays as a left-back for the German club. According to The Athletic, the Canadian men’s national team star is set to sign a new contract with the Bundesliga giants after a positive meeting with the player’s agent with Bayern improving financial proposal.
“Bayern are close to completing the agreement to extend Alphonso Davies’ contract, talks advancing.

Davies is set to sign a four-year contract with a potential option for an additional year. Davies joined Bayern Munich from the Major League Soccer side Vancouver Whitecaps in 2019.
The canadian defender’s contract with Bayern Munich is set to expire in June at the end of the current campaign and there was significant interest from Real Madrid. Losing Davies, who scored 12 goals and 34 assists in 218 games across all competitions.
During his time at Bayern, Davies won the Bundesliga five times, the Champions League in 2020, the DFB Pokal twice, and the Club World Cup in 2021.
