ARMED robbers struck again in Beitbridge on Tuesday morning and robbed a family in the Kwalu section of Dulivhadzimu high-density suburb of about US $1 300 and several mobile phones.
Three masked robbers raided the home soon after 2am when the victim arrived from his cross- border haulage truck monitoring work and bundled everyone into the main bedroom, before ransacking the house at gunpoint.
Officer commanding Beitbridge Police District Chief Superintendent Tichaona Nyongo confirmed the robbery.
“True, it occurred,” said Nyongo, whose district has been rocked by armed robberies.
In the latest attack, the robbers appeared to have followed the victim from his workstation until the time he got home.
