A Durban woman, who recently left her marriage after discovering her husband’s affair with her best friend, has taken a bold step towards reclaiming her life.
She has approached the Durban High Court, seeking interim maintenance for herself and their three children until the divorce is finalised.
The wife, who has chosen to remain anonymous, is requesting over R100,000 in maintenance and R171,000 for new furniture.
Her husband, a successful surgeon with multiple business ventures, has been ordered by the court to pay R55,000 in monthly maintenance, cover all children’s expenses, and contribute towards the wife’s divorce fees.
