A man from the Manjolo area in Binga, Matabeleland North Province, is facing an extraordinary predicament following his illicit affair with a married woman.
Instead of a joyful reunion, he found himself suffering from a mysterious condition that caused his manhood to elongate to knee level.
After engaging in the affair, which is believed to have involved a spell known as ulunyoka or runyoka, the man’s genitals became unnaturally enlarged, including his testicles. This led to widespread speculation that the woman’s husband had cursed him upon discovering the affair.
In desperation, the man sought spiritual assistance after enduring intense pain that made it difficult for him to walk or sleep. He confessed to a prophet based in Bulawayo that his troubles began immediately after his encounter with the married woman, whose name he disclosed during a cleansing ritual.

To address his condition, the man visited Bulawayo-based cleric Madzibaba Emmanuel Mutumwa during a cleansing ceremony in Umguza a fortnight ago. Despite seeking help from various prophets, sources indicated that his condition showed little improvement.
“Drama unfolded during his cleansing ritual when he repeatedly shouted the name of the woman he had slept with,” shared an anonymous source familiar with the situation. The source also mentioned that the man, who is suspected of practicing juju or mubobobo, confessed to other infidelities in the area.
In a video circulating among the community, the man can be seen wearing a light green pair of trousers, a light blue shirt, and a khaki hat, while expressing his desire to end his affair. “I won’t sleep with her again,” he shouted, explaining to those present that he had come to seek healing after the bizarre transformation.
Madzibaba Mutumwa confirmed the incident but remained tight-lipped about personal details, acknowledging the challenge of dealing with such cases. “Healing is a process,” he stated, adding that the man is making progress.
After attempting to locate the man at his relative’s place in Umguza, it was reported that he had returned to Binga, leaving behind a community filled with fear and superstition surrounding the implications of traditional curses and magic.
