The body of a 12-year-old kid was discovered in an open field in Delft on Wednesday, prompting Western Cape police to launch a m_rder investigation.
The terrible find was found just after 2 p.m. in an open field on Renoster Street in Leiden, Delft. According to Western Cape police spokesperson Captain F.C Van Wyk, authorities received a complaint regarding the discovery of a body.
“On their arrival, they found the body mutilat3d and b-rned. The circumstances surrounding this incident are under investigation.”
Van Wyk said the motive for this m_rder is now the subject of an investigation by the South African Police Service.
“No arrest has been made as suspect/s are unknown at this stage.”

In another case, the body of a youngster who had been reported missing on September 24, 2024 was discovered in a dam on Wednesday morning.
Anelisiwe Manyana, a Western Cape police spokesperson, said Harare police had opened a missing person inquiry after a three-year-old youngster went missing.
“According to reports he was last seen by his mother. At the time of disappearance he was wearing a navy blue track top, maroon track pants and flip flops.”
Manyana said an inquest docket was opened for further investigation after the child boy’s was found in a dam at around 6am on October 2, 2024.
“A post mortem will be conducted to determine the cause of death.”
