In a heartbreaking incident last Saturday, a 9-year-old boy in Thandanani Village, Ward 1 under Chief Ndube in Filabusi, took his own life.
The child was found hanging from a pole by an electric cable.
At the time, the boy was left unsupervised with his younger sibling while their parents were away fetching water.

Upon discovering the tragedy from his younger brother, the parents rushed to the scene but were unable to save the boy.
Matabeleland South Provincial Police Spokesperson Inspector Loveness Mangena confirmed the incident, stating, “We have such a case and investigations are ongoing.”
