High Court Judge Justice Munamato Mutevedzi has today,17 July dismissed the bail appeal of former Harare senator Hon. Jameson Timba and 76 other Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) activists.
The CCC interim leader had filed an appeal to the High Court following the denial of bail by Harare Provincial Magistrate Ruth Moyo, who remanded the activists in custody until 24 July.
The former senator was arrested alongside other CCC activists by the Zimbabwe Republic Police on 16 June in Avondale, Harare.
The activists are accused of holding an unsanctioned gathering and engaging in disorderly conduct.
