Two Harare brothers, William Boka (39) and Kudakwashe Boka (32), have been sentenced to life imprisonment for their involvement in a robbery that turned deadly in August 2020. The brothers shot and killed their victim, who had unknowingly walked into the robbery scene.
On August 18, 2020, the victim returned home to find the brothers in the process of committing a robbery. In a tragic turn of events, the brothers opened fire, resulting in the victim’s instant death.
The CID spokesperson, Detective Inspector Rachel Muteweri, confirmed the conviction and sentencing, stating that the brothers were found guilty and sentenced to life imprisonment by the High Court of Zimbabwe.
The life sentence serves as a stern warning to those who engage in violent crimes. The court’s decision underscores the gravity of the offense and the importance of protecting citizens’ lives.
The sentencing brings closure to the victim’s family, who have endured the pain of losing a loved one. The brothers’ conviction and sentencing provide a sense of justice, but the family will never get their loved one back.
