Syby Dhliwayo (41) from Worringham plots on the outskirts of Bulawayo is battling for his life at United Bulawayo Hospital (UBH) after he was knifed in the stomach by two men leaving his intestines protruding after they allegedly failed to rob him.
When the two robbers who were brandishing a knife and a machete approached Dhliwayo, he allegedly tried to fight with them but he never knew that would land himself in worse trouble.
“One of the robbers stabbed him with a knife in the stomach leaving his intestines protruding and he wailed in high-pitched screams. A neighbour heard the screams and rushed to the scene and found him lying in a pool of bl00d wriggling in agony while his att@ckers had already fled,” said a source.
The neighbour searched his jacket’s pockets and took out a phone before calling his relative. After that, he phoned an ambulance which swiftly arrived and Dhliwayo was ferried to the hospital.
Bulawayo Deputy Police Spokesperson Assistant Inspector Nomalanga Msebele confirmed the incident.
