On September 22, 2024, a routine security roadblock set up by law enforcement at the 10-kilometer mark along the Masvingo-Beitbridge Road led to a significant dr_g-related bust.
Police officers intercepted an Inter Africa bus, which raised suspicions during their checks.
Upon further investigation, they discovered that the bus driver, Tonderai Mafo, aged 48, and his 25-year-old conductor, Mberikunashe Allen, were in possession of illicit goods.
In addition to the driver and conductor, authorities arrested two passengers, Pauline Mudakuvaka, 36, and Alice Mutanda, 68, who were also implicated in the crime.
The police seized a total of 62 kilograms of dagga, a substance known for its illegal status in many regions.
As a result of their actions, the four individuals were taken into custody for questioning and processing.
