In a diverstating incident that unfolded on the Kwekwe-Gokwe Road, a fatal road traffic accident involving a CAG bus resulted in the loss of two lives and left several others injured.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has confirmed the grim details of the collision that occurred at the 30-kilometer peg along the Gokwe-Siabuwa Road
The accident involved a CAG bus, carrying 50 passengers, and a Hino truck with six passengers on board. The collision occurred when the bus hit the tailboard of the truck, causing the Hino truck to veer off the road and overturn.
Simultaneously, the bus veered off the road and overturned, landing on its roof. Tragically, two people lost their lives in the accident, and thirty others sustained injuries.
Assistant commmissioner Nyathi, the National Police spokesperson, emphasized the importance of road safety and urged motorists to exercise patience and adhere to all road rules and regulations.
