Patricia Simon Makoni, the wife of the late legendary musician Dickson Chingaira Makoni, popularly known as Cde Chinx, has d!ed.
The Zimbabwe Music Rights Association (Zimura) announced her passing on their Facebook page on August 19, 2024.
According to the post, Patricia Simon Makoni passed away on August 18, 2024.
Zimura expressed its condolences to the Makoni family and friends, saying:
“Zimura would like to send its condolences to the Makoni family and friends following the passing on of Patricia Simon Makoni, the wife of the late Dickson Chingaira Makoni (Cde Chinx) on the 18th of August 2024.”
Cde Chinx, a renowned musician and freedom fighter, passed away in 2017 at the age of 61. His wife’s de@th has sent shockwaves through the music industry and fans, who remember her as a supportive partner to the late musician.
