Renowned Zimbabwean opposition leader and former Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC), Advocate Nelson Chamisa has expressed his heartfelt cond0lences following the p@ssing of Zambia’s former First Lady Maureen Mwanawasa.
The late Dr Maureen Mwanawasa was widow of President Levy Mwanawasa who was the third president of Zambia. She d!ed on 13th of August 2024 at the age of 61.
Taking to his X account, Chamisa wrote the following:
“I have just learnt of the passing of the former first lady of Zambia, Dr Maureen Mwanawasa. I knew Dr Mwanawasa at a personal level and was very dear to me. She believed in a better world and was passionate about a New Africa”.
“My Deepest condolences to the Mwanawasa family and indeed the people of Zambia on this sad loss”.
“We join the Mwanawasa family, H.E President @HHichilema and all our Zambian brothers and sisters in prayer”.
“RIP Dr Mwanawasa”
