Chelsea FC, the Premier League giant, is reportedly in “advanced talks” with Barcelona striker Marc Guiu, who wants to leave the club. Chelsea is one of the English clubs aiming to sign more strikers this summer.
Fabrizio Romano reports that Chelsea plans to pay his €6 million release clause.
“Talks between Chelsea and Marc Guiu’s agents are very advanced, with the club confident in making it happen. The €6m release clause is available, and Chelsea Football Club is ahead of other clubs keen on signing him, following talks with agents and family,” the post reads.
The striker broke into the first team last season, scoring twice, but struggled for minutes as the season progressed, especially after the arrival of Vitor Roque.
Marc Guiu’s contract with Barcelona expires in 2025, and the club has still not received positive feedback on a new deal proposal.
