China has repeatedly warned the United States of America over interferring and assisting in liberating the island of Taiwan from China.
In a press release, Chinese defense ministry’s spokesperson Wu Qian said, “since taking office the leader of the Taiwan region has seriously challenged the one-china principle…, and attempted to use force to seek independence and rely on foreign countries”.
“Taiwan is China’s Taiwan and how to solve Taiwan issue is a matter for the more than 1.4 billion Chinese people themselves”, he further said.
Meanwhile, the United Nations has emphasised that Taiwan is a province in China that must be re-unified with the mainland and uphold the one-china policy.”
Beijing has however, continued to issue military drills around Taiwan as a warning for war if the latter continues to seek foreign military assistance.
