Byron Kachimanga, a 24-year-old resident of Matura Compound in Chinhoyi, has been convicted of attempting to murd3r his neighbor, Jabulani Mamanokora, after a loan d!spute spiraled into an unimaginable act of v!olence.
The story began on September 15, when Jabulani approached Byron to discuss the loan he had generously extended to him.
Seeking repayment, Jabulani expected a straightforward conversation to settle the matter. Instead, his request ignited a sh0cking response.
In a fit of rage, Byron grabbed an axe and stru_ck Jabulani twice on the head, a bru@al act that left their peaceful neighborhood in disbelief.

Miraculously, Jabulani survived this unprovoked @tt@ck, bolstered by his resilient spirit. Doctors documented his injuries, and the medical report was presented as critical evidence during the trial. The shocking nature of the attack and the betrayal of trust weighed heavily in the Chinhoyi Magistrates Court.
Byron was found guilty of attempted murd3r and was sentenced to three years in pr!son.
However, the court suspended one year of his sentence, contingent on good behavior, meaning he would ultimately serve a two-year term behind bars.
As he faced the consequences of his actions, the community grappled with disbelief over how a simple request for repayment could ignite such lethal violence.
