Former Mozambican President Cde Joaquim Alberto Chissano is expected to preside over a graduation ceremony at Africa University (AU).
Chissano arrived in the country yesterday afternoon through the Forbes border post and was welcomed by the Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Hon. Misheck Mugadza.
The arrival of Cde Alberto Chissano was confirmed by the Permanent Secretary for Information, Publicity, and Broadcasting Services, Nick Mangwana, on his social media platform.
“The former Mozambican President Cde Joaquim Alberto Chissano arrived here in Mutare today in the afternoon through Forbes border post.”
“He is expected to officiate at tomorrow’s graduation ceremony at Africa University (AU).
He was received by the Min of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution Hon Misheck Mugadza.”
