Zimbabwe’s first Vice President (Rtd) General Dr. C. Chiwenga, has led a team of cabinet ministers & senior Gvt officials on a tour of various projects undertaken by government ahead of the SADC Summit scheduled for next month.
According to Ministry of Transport and Infrastructural Development’s X post, newsreportzim.com has learned that on Friday, 12th of July, Vice President Dr. Chiwenga, cabinet ministers and senior government officials have toured various projects in Harare.
“Today, 12th of July, Hon Vice President Dr CDGN Chiwenga led a team of cabinet ministers & senior Gvt officials on a tour of various projects undertaken by Gvt ahead of the SADC Summit. Vice President Chiwenga said therewas great improvement on all projects with some exceeding his expectations,”the post reads.
The tour began at RGM International Airport, followed by the Airport Road beautification projects, the Museum of African Liberation, road infrastructure development, Presidential villas, and several other projects.
Chiwenga has also toured facilities that will host SADC leaders and their delegations to assess the country’s state preparedness and the pace at which final touches are being made.
