Zimbabwe’s first Vice President, Retired Gen. Dr. C.G.D.N. Chiwenga, met with the Mauritian Vice President, Marie Cyril Eddy Boissèzon, in the capital city of India.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 19th edition of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) India-Africa Business Conclave, scheduled to occur from August 20 to 22, 2024.
The Conclave provides an opportunity for African countries and India to exchange business ideas and forge partnerships.
The Permanent Secretary for Information, Publicity, and Broadcasting, Nick Mangwana, confirmed on his X post that Vice President Dr. C.G.D.N. Chiwenga met with Mauritian Vice President Marie Cyril Eddy Boissèzon.
” Vice President Dr C.G.D.N Chiwenga today met with Mauritian Vice President Marie Cyril Eddy Boissèzon on the sidelines of the 19th edition of the CII India-Africa Business Conclave,” the post reads.
The duo were discussing issues that needed for the two countries to increase economic cooperation and the need for Africa to achieve food self sufficiency.
