Mrs Elizabeth Matenga Founder of Friends Without Boundaries organization as well as John Bradburne Memorial Society UK Trustee,Bridget Mukwena, Guy and Sister Ros Peterson and the Lewis Couple visited Mutemwa Leprosy Catholic Care Centre yesterday.
The Peterson donated six customised tricycles to six residents. Their family in Utah donated funds to buy two tricycles and the other four were bought from funds they raised from anonymous men from their Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Utah America. Ros bought six carrier bags for the tricycles and wrote names for the residents.
Residents had fun learning how to ride them. Susan Bako a Mutemwa resident had a fracture of her left arm a few weeks ago. She has a POP. It will be a while before she an ride her new tricycle.
Mr Felish Farawo an Orthopedic technician from Jairos Jiri Southerton taught residents how to use and service the tricycles.
