Tragedy struck in Guruve, Mashonaland Central province, on Friday when a man believed to be suffering from mental health issues allegedly used an axe to k!ll his daughter at an apostolic church shrine.
The victim, Grace Gweshe, was attending a cleansing ceremony at the time of the incident.
Her father, 34-year-old Bios Gweshe, was arrested by police in connection with the m_rder.
In a separate incident, an elderly woman, Lucy Sibanda (84), was found dead in Mlonyeni village, Lupane, with multiple !njuries to her head and neck.

Police are searching for 24-year-old Logic Nyathi, who is suspected to be linked to the crime.
Anyone with information is urged to come forward and report to the nearest police station.
Zimbabwe Republic Police spokesperson, Commissioner Paul Nyathi, confirmed both incidents and appealed for public assistance in the investigation.
