Talent Madungwe, a self-styled prophet known for his contentious beliefs, is scheduled to be sentenced on October 9 by the Magistrates Court in Epworth.
He faces charges for violating road safety laws, including negligent driving and driving without a valid license.
Last week, Madungwe appeared before Magistrate Tafadzwa Miti and admitted to the charges.
The incident occurred on August 6, 2024, when Madungwe, driving on Airport Road in Hatfield, Harare, sideswiped a Nissan NP300 owned by Rutendo Kwinjo.

Both vehicles were en route to the city center, and the collision caused damage to Kwinjo’s car, which has the registration number ACG 8313.
The court learned that the accident happened when Madungwe made a right turn onto the main road, leading to the sideswipe.
Initially released from custody, Madungwe was given time to amend the court documents as requested by the prosecutor, Nyamutswa.
With his unconventional religious claims often drawing attention, Madungwe now faces real consequences for his actions on the road.
His upcoming sentencing is anticipated to bring resolution to this case.
