The conviction and six-year prison sentences handed down to two heads of departments on the Harare City Council for trying to sell the golf course and Mount Pleasant Sports Club to a private developer have been upheld by the Supreme Court.
According to Zimpapers TV Network, Stanley Ndemera, the director of finance, and Charles Kandemiri, the chamber secretary, will now have to serve out the remainder of their sentences after the court of final appeal rejected their appeals.
On accusations of criminal @buse of power, the two had moved the Supreme Court to contest their conviction and punishment.
