The Zimbabwean couple, who has been living with HIV/AIDS for a long time, revealed that HIV status disclosure has become a stumbling block to Zimbabwe’s targets of ending the HIV/AIDS epidemic.
In an X video by ZimFM Stereo, Mr. and Mrs. Maringwa detailed a worrying trend in which many young people who were perinatally infected are not disclosing their statuses to their partners.
According to the National Library of Medicine, a study from Zimbabwe showed that learning about their HIV status is still one of the most difficult life events for adolescents living with HIV/AIDS.
