The Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) has clarified that the recent surge in seasonal common cold cases observed nationwide is not attributable to COVID-19 or any emerging viruses.
Over the past weeks, MoHCC has received numerous reports concerning an uptick in common cold incidents, typified by symptoms such as nasal congestion, coughing, throat irritation, and general fatigue.
While MoHCC treats all health-related reports with utmost seriousness, their investigative efforts have conclusively determined that these occurrences are unrelated to COVID-19 or the emergence of novel viral variants.
