Portugal and Al-Nassr superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is celebrating his 40th birthday in style. Ronaldo was born on the 5th of February 1985 in Fanchal, Portugal. Ronaldo has been hailed for still taking football to another level.
The five time Ballon d’Or winner took his social media page and expressed his gratitude thanking God for giving him a good healthy at the time he wanted to achieve his goals in making football history.
Recently Ronaldo stated in an interview with La Sexta that he considers himself the greatest footballer of all time. He argued that his trophy collection and goal-scoring feats justify his place at the top of the football hierarchy. Currently he scored 923 career goals as he aim to reach 1000 goes.
As he celebrates his birthday on Wednesday, Ronaldo is determined to prove that life begins at 40.
He still doesn’t lack any confidence either.
“I think I’m the most complete player to have existed,” he said on Spanish TV on Monday. “In my opinion, I think it’s me. I do everything well in football.
The Al-Nassr man will now be hoping to push his limits even further as he enters his 40s and shows no sign of retiring any time soon.
Despite growing criticism from fans, and facing his own mortality in the game for perhaps the first time, in his mind, he’s still got plenty to achieve.
