Africa faced a surge in cyber@ttacks in Q2 2024, with Zimbabwe, Ethiopia and South Africa being the most targeted countries.
According to Check Point Research’s Global Threat Index, the continent saw an average of 2,960 cyberatt@cks per organisation per week, a 37% increase from the same period in 2023.
Ethiopia ranked as the most attacked country globally, followed closely by Zimbabwe. South Africa ranked 61st out of 112 countries.

Globally, cyberatt@cks rose by 30% compared to Q2 2023, with Latin America and the Asia-Pacific region also seeing significant increases.
