US rapper DaBaby has confirmed in a video that he will be visiting and performing in Zimbabwe later this year.
Rumours circulated yesterday that DaBaby was set to rock the country later this year. This will be the Rockstar hitmaker’s first time performing in Africa.
The show is hosted by Roar Entertainment, which invited rapper Rick Ross in November 2022.Roar Entertainment shared a video where Dababy confirmed that he will perform in Zimbabwe. DaBaby said:
“We [are] shutting down, Zimbabwe. September 23rd, I will be performing live at Old Hararians. I can’t wait to see y’all. From Mabvuku to Borrowdale, make sure you get your tickets right now. The Talk Chart DaBaby Concert is not to be missed. I might come early and spend a couple of days there and then do the concert, then spend a couple of days afterwards.”
The show is also being sponsored by ZANU PF aspiring Mabvuku MP Scott Sakupwanya and Mike Chimombe. Jah Prayzah will be the supporting artist at the concert.
DaBaby, whose real name is Jonathan Lyndale Kirk, has been one of the most successful and controversial artists in the hip-hop scene in recent years. He has released four studio albums, including “Kirk” and “Blame It On Baby”, which both debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart.
He has also collaborated with stars such as Post Malone, Megan Thee Stallion, Dua Lipa, Roddy Ricch and YoungBoy Never Broke Again.Social media users expressed mixed sentiments about DaBaby’s show to be held in September.
