A shocking murd3r was reported in Manyozo Village, Rushinga, where a 28-year-old woman named Grace Murenza was found without her head.
The discovery was made early yesterday by her 12-year-old daughter, Prisca Kamuriwo, who found her mother’s body while looking for her school uniform.
When Prisca opened the door, she saw her mother lying on the floor in a pool of blood, and her head was missing.
This horrible scene was described as a violent act by the police.
An internal police memo revealed that Grace had been having problems with her estranged husband, David Manuwere.

There was blood outside the house and on the walls, leading to the room where her body was.
Grace’s head was not found, and no weapon was located at the scene.
The night before, Grace had moved her bed from her brother Banabas Murenza’s house to her mother’s house, which was only about 50 meters away.
Around 5:30 AM, when Prisca discovered the terrible scene, she quickly told her grandmother, Rhoda Murenza, who is 76 years old. Banabas then reported the murd3r to the police, prompting an investigation that has shaken the local community.
The police are focusing on David Manuwere as the main suspect.
He has a history of crime and was recently convicted of stealing livestock. After his conviction, Grace decided to separate from him, which he did not accept.
Interestingly, the memo noted that the night before the murd3r, David called Grace and said he would come to see her, but he never appeared.
As police work to find Grace’s missing head and gather more evidence, her body remains at the hospital awaiting an autopsy. The community is in shock, wondering how such a terrible crime could happen.
The case highlights the serious issues of domestic violence, and now everyone is watching as investigators try to solve it.
