The tragic discovery of a 14-year-old boy’s mutilated body in Mvuma, identified as Ronald Dehwe, has sent shockwaves through the community and led police to suspect a ritual murd3r.
The gruesome find was made last Friday by Maxwell Mpofu, a 24-year-old resident who stumbled upon the corpse while searching for goats in a bushy area in Village 14 Mavise.
Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko, the spokesperson for Midlands provincial police, confirmed the details, revealing that the body was missing eyes, ears, and private parts, which raises alarming questions about the motives behind the crime.
Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding Dehwe’s death to come forward and report to the nearest police station to assist in the investigation.
This incident is particularly disturbing as it follows another violent occurrence in Chirumanzu, where a man named Casper Mhari was k!lled in a bar fight over a commercial s3x worker.
Mahoko provided details regarding the altercation, stating that during a dispute, the suspect, Marshal Shiri, violently att@cked Mhari with a log, striking him multiple times in the head.
Mhari lost consciousness and was subsequently taken to Muonde Hospital, where he later succumbed to his inj_ries.
As police work to apprehend Shiri, the community is left in a state of fear and confusion, grappling with the implications of these tragic and viol3nt events.
