Detective Kedha Speaks Out After Arrest for Operating ‘Illegal’ Matrix Disciplinary and Training Camp
Tafadzwa Chidawa, widely known as Detective Kedha, has spoken out following his arrest for allegedly operating an illegal disciplinary camp.
Chidawa and his co-accused, 38-year-old Clara Manyepera, appeared before the Harare Magistrates Court and were granted bail of US$300 each. They are facing charges of running an unregistered disciplinary camp in New Marlborough, Harare.
The two are scheduled to return to court on April 20, accused of violating the Private Voluntary Organizations Act by operating the Matrix Disciplinary and Training Camp without proper registration or licenses. Authorities also claim their actions breached the Children’s Act.
‘We’re Not Illegal’: Matrix Disciplinary Camp Responds
Chidawa has refuted the allegations, clarifying that Matrix Disciplinary Camp is a legally registered company, not a Private Voluntary Organization (PVO). In a statement, he said:
Matrix Disciplinary Camp wishes to inform the public that it is a private company registered and operating in Zimbabwe, providing specialized training and disciplinary services. Contrary to recent misconceptions, Matrix Disciplinary Camp is not a Private Voluntary Organization (PVO) but a fully-fledged company that offers its services at a fee.
Services Offered by Matrix Disciplinary and Camp
Matrix Disciplinary Camp also clarified the types of services it provides to its clients, saying:
We would like to assure our valued clients, stakeholders, and the general public that our services are professional, efficient, and tailored to meet the specific needs of our clients. We charge competitive fees for our services, which include: Disciplinary training programs, Leadership development courses, Team-building exercises and Security services.

Reassuring clients, Chidawa stated that despite his arrest, Matrix Disciplinary Camp remains operational.
