Popular Zimbabwean podcaster DJ Ollah 7 has turned himself in to the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) and will remain spend the weekend in jail.

His arrest follows backlash from his recent interview with rapper Holy Ten, which sparked controversy in the entertainment industry. The interview, released earlier this week on YouTube, saw Holy Ten making bold and scathing remarks about fellow artists—comments that didn’t sit well with many.
One of the people who took offence was National Arts Merit Awards (NAMA) nominee and skit maker Mama Vee, who has since taken legal action against Holy Ten. However, the controversy hasn’t stopped there—DJ Ollah 7 himself is now facing the consequences.

The news of his arrest was confirmed by entertainment blog Zimcelebs, which posted on Instagram:
“DJ Ollah is now in police custody. He surrendered himself this evening and he will spend the weekend in jail.”
