In an era where AI-generated explicit content featuring celebrities is circulating, doubts arose regarding the authenticity of a le@ked video allegedly showing Canadian rapper Drake engaging in explicit behaviour in his bedr00m. However, Drake has finally confirmed that the video is real while responding to fellow rapper Kendrick Lamar through a diss track titled “Family Matters.”
Drake’s confirmation came in the form of a seven-minute track that combines three songs, serving as a scathing response to Kendrick Lamar. Titled “Family Matters,” the diss track was released on YouTube approximately 14 hours after Kendrick Lamar dropped his diss track, “6:16 in LA.” In his lyrics, Drake not only addresses Kendrick but also aims for his alleged troubled relationship with his fiancée, Whitney Alford, @ccusing him of infidelity.
!rty all her life, you tryna make peace/ I heard that one of them little kids might be Dave Free/ Don’t make it dave freeze/ Cause if your GM is your BM secret BD,” Drake raps.
One line in the 7-minute track stands out. Drake acknowledges Kendrick Lamar’s previous assertion that there is no “Big 3” in the rap game, cleverly referencing his leaked explicit video from February this year in a double entendre. He raps,
“You right about f*ck the Big 3, it’s only Big D and there’s video proof,” Drake cheekily raps.
Kendrick Lamar didn’t hesitate to respond, releasing his response titled “Meet the Grahams.” In this track, each verse directly addresses Drake’s family members, including his son Adonis, mother Sandra, father Dennis, and even a daughter that Drake has never publicly acknowledged.
This ongoing rap feud captivated those following the beef closely. It all began when Lamar fired sh0ts at Drake and J. Cole on his track “Like That,” responding to their words on “First Person Shooter.” Since then, the feud has escalated rapidly, involving other artists such as Rick Ross, Metro Boomin, The Weeknd, and Future.
