Dzivarasekwa pastors and residents launching their day of prayer for their community. Apostle General T. Matemai of Fire Family Prayer Network a child raised in Dzivarasekwa Extension invites ,bishops, pastors, prophets, teachers, community members and other churches to come today 28 July 2023 at Federation Hall. The event will take the whole day. They are launching Dzivarasekwa Day of Prayer. They are praying for Dzivarasekwa community.
They will be praying for peace, drug abuse, early marriages, sudden divorce, development in the community,child marriages and many more as man of the cloth from different churches and residents. Church leaders will also be ordained and licenced, church registration will be done today at Dzivarasekwa Day of Prayer launch.
Dzivarasekwa Extension used to be white peoples farms. It was owned by Dolson a white guy. Due to urban expansion it has grown. It has few government schools, one small clinic. It has Yemurayi, Glaudina Council and Rainham Primary and Secondary farm schools. It has no secondary school. There are lot of non formal schools which are expensive for parents. Hence most of the children do not go to school due to private schools which are expensive, hence children resort to drug abuse,early marriages and prostitution in Dzivarasekwa at an early age. Their parents work minial jobs which can not sustain families.
Dzivarasekwa has old Dzivarasekwa and Dzivarasekwa Extension. It has Presidential Guard, NBS housing scheme,Nehanda housing corporative, Dzivarasekwa Extension phase 1and 2, Federation, Glaudina phases 1 to 4, Nenyasha, Puregold Housing scheme, Land of Canaan corporative, FBC bank housing scheme and Marwede, surrounding farming community and many more using few services like schools,one clinic and one police base at Nehanda police base.
