Zimbabwe’s new currency ZIG since its introduction has left the public confused on how it is valued with other currencies and how it symbolizes . RBZ Governor has decided to take upon him to educate the public on the newly introduced currency.
Through an X post it stated that Today, the Reserve Bank Governor Dr John Mushayavanhu launched Phase 2 of the Educational Campaign on ZIG.The Campaign is targeted at increasing awareness about the ZiG currency among the populace. The Governor noted that the information about ZiG had not reached some corners of Zimbabwe, hence the need for another educational campaign.
RBZ has incorporated the Parliament of Zimbabwe and the Ministry of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services in the Second phase so as to cascade the information about ZiG to all corners of the country Newsreportzim.com learnt that…;
The teams will:
1.Explain to the public the features of the new currency.
2.Advise the general public on the conversion rates.
3.Distribute fliers so as to dymistify misconceptions surrounding ZiG.
