The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) is urging the public to come forward with any information that could assist in their ongoing investigation into a serious robbery case.
This incident took place on October 3, 2024, when a group of eight masked suspects, who were armed with unidentified pistols and iron bars, launched a violent @ttack on a security guard during his shift at a local security company located along Lynnington Road in Strattaven, Avondale, Harare.
The assailants overpowered the guard and proceeded to steal a substantial amount of cash, totaling US$23,175.
In addition to the cash, they also made away with five firearms, seven pepper spray canisters, and seven handcuffs, highlighting the severity and planning involved in this brazen robbery.
Given the nature of the crime and the potential danger posed by the suspects, the ZRP is emphasizing the importance of community vigilance and cooperation in aiding law enforcement efforts.
They are particularly interested in any details, no matter how small, that could lead to the apprehension of the culprits involved in this incident.
