Impact Training Institute Executive President , Professor Elias Chakabwata challenged families and organizations to empower the girl child so that she can stand on her own feet.
Speaking during a recently held graduation ceremony ,Professor Chakabwata appealed to organizations and institutions to promote the empowerment of the girl child.
“Times have changed and we need to recalibrate our ways of thinking and reset our minds so that we see the girl child as an equally good leader in organizations and institutions .It is a sad development that some organizations still don’t give leadership positions to women who are at times better qualified than their male counterparts on the grounds of gender. Such philosophies belong to the stone age period and not to the modern day society” , said Professor Chakabwata .
Impact Trainiing Institute runs programs aimed at capacitating the girl child .These programs range from professional courses like Leadership and strategic planning to practicals like cosmetology .
Professor Chakabwata strongly believes that society must adjust and see the girl child for what she can do rather than for what she can’t do based on societal sterio types .
