A phony Nigerian teacher has been arrested for posing as an academic to steal first-year students’ phones.
The imposter infiltrated a class of freshmen under false pretenses, presenting himself as their instructor and announcing an unexpected test.
After instructing students to take the test, he confiscated their phones under the guise of preventing cheating and swiftly exited the classroom.

Before exiting, he instructed the class representative to gather the completed tests and deliver them to his supposed office, the fake lecturer then disappeared without a trace, taking the phones with him.
Realizing they had fallen victim to a scam, the students took matters into their own hands.
Utilizing tracking technology, they successfully pinpointed the whereabouts of their stolen devices. The signal led them to a nearby black market, where the suspect was attempting to offload the pilfered phones.
In a decisive response, the students mobilized quickly, descending upon the location and apprehending the perpetrator before he could make a clean getaway
