During an interview on “Another Chance,” Takudzwa Chikoore recounted the events leading to his arrest after receiving a call from his paternal uncle.
It is alleged that Takudzwa was raised by his grandmother in Hwedza.
One day, his uncle from Mhondoro contacted him via cellphone, asking him to come and live with him.
He stated that he stayed there for a week, and one day, his uncle instructed him to prepare the cows as they were planning to go farming at his in-laws’ place.
On their journey, they encountered a police car that stopped them. Takudzwa’s uncle pointed at Takudzwa and his friend “Fatso,” accusing them of ste@ling the cows. Consequently, they were arrested.
He claimed that they were taken into police custody and subjected to severe physical ass@ult, resulting in significant !njuries to his head.
Takudzwa was only 17 years old when he received a nine-year jail sentence.
After spending two months in Maximum Prison, he was summoned to testify for his friend Farai.
He explained to the authorities that Fatso was his friend and had sought his help to farm at his uncle’s in-laws’ property.
