A 43-year-old man from Bindura has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for r@ping his 13-year-old daughter and engaging in indecent acts with her.
Following a separation from the girl’s mother, the father took custody of the complainant and her stepmother after she had lived with her mother in Muzarabani.
Once in his care, the father failed to ensure that she attended school, depriving her of an education.
In a disturbing incident that occurred in 2023, after a conflict with the stepmother led to their separation, the father called the complainant into his b3droom at night.
He deceitfully claimed he wanted to “make a charm” to bring the stepmother back, manipulating the girl into compliance.
He then undressed, using soap and water to create a lubricant before forcefully rap!ng her.
The victim, traumatized, returned to her room afterward but chose not to disclose the ab_se to anyone.
Subsequent incidents involved the accused coercing her into massaging his genitals, further exacerbating the abus3.
The horrifying situation remained hidden until October 2024, when the stepmother unexpectedly returned home and caught the father instructing the complainant to perform the indecent act.
