The Italian international forward, Federico Chiesa, is set to join English Premier League giants Liverpool.
He is scheduled to arrive from Juventus for his medical examination and contract signing. The two clubs have agreed on an initial fee of €13 million, with additional add-ons, for the Chiesa deal.
According to the Italian sport journalist Fabrizio Romano, “Agreement done for €13m initial fee with add-ons. Four year contract for Chiesa as new Liverpool player, set to fly later today.
Chiesa accepted Liverpool move immediately and he is very excited with the development.
“I’m very happy, I can’t wait to become new Liverpool player. Me and my family, we’re so happy really”. Chiesa told reporters.
He also expressed his gratitude to the club and its fans, stating that they have always held a special place in his heart.
“Let me say thanks to Juventus and the fans, they have been always special with me”, he added.
Chiesa will add more depth to the Liverpool roster in attack with Arne Slot further adding to his options in an already stacked forward line.
