Harare residents witnessed a dramatic scene Sunday evening as a large fire broke out at the corner of Speke Avenue and Julius Nyerere Way opposite Joina City. The flames sent thick plumes of smoke into the air.
Details remain scarce, but initial reports suggest the fire started early Sunday evening. There is no information injuries or casualties. Fortunately, the Harare Fire Brigade responded swiftly and managed to contain the blaze before it could spread further.
While the immediate danger has been averted, the damage caused by the fire appears significant.
