Five Zambian musicians of Monze District in Southern Province have gone into hiding after their combined randiness led them to gang-r@pe a 12-year-old girl inside a recording studio.
According to police reports, the juvenile left her parents’ house around 19:00 hours to collect a pair of trousers from a friend, accompanied by another friend.
However, she failed to inform her guardian, her aunt, before departing. Tragically, before reaching their destination, the two girls were intercepted by five men exiting the studio within Zambia compound.
The perpetrators abducted the 12-year-old and dragged her into the studio, leaving her friend behind. Inside, the men, aspiring artists, brut@lly exploited the young girl, taking turns in the heinous act. Afterward, they released her from the studio.
Fortunately, a boy who knew the survivor witnessed the scene and swiftly alerted her mother, who was with her friend.
The biological mother, aged 36, promptly reported the incident to the police. Southern Province Police Commanding Officer, Auxensio Daka, confirmed the incident and launched a manhunt for the suspects.
“Although the survivor cannot identify the culprits by name, she can recognize them visually,” Daka said.
“Police investigations are underway, and we urge anyone with information to come forward.”
