Essentials Lost, Hope Remains
The aftermath of the fire has left the children and staff of the home in a vulnerable state. The destruction caused by the flames has stripped them of essential items that are crucial for a nurturing and supportive environment.
Furniture, blankets, sheets, clothes suitable for children of various ages, school shoes, uniforms, toys, and countless other necessities have all been reduced to ashes, leaving the children without the comforts they once had.
Rallying Support for Rebuilding And Restoration
In the face of such adversity, Mrs. Sithole, the dedicated Matron of the Harare Children’s Home, has taken on the crucial responsibility of coordinating relief efforts.
She is reaching out to compassionate individuals around the globe, calling upon their kindness and generosity to help rebuild the children’s dormitories and provide them with the support they desperately need.
“Thankfully there has been no loss of life but these dormitories will need to be rebuilt as soon as possible.
“We have lost everything you would need in a family home.
“Furniture, blankets, sheets, clothes for babies up to 18 years, school shoes, uniforms, toys, etc.
“Please open your hearts to the plight of these children,” she said.
