Former Real Madrid and France’s national team striker, Karim Mostafa Benzema has revealed his thoughts about his fellow country man Kylian Mbappe who succeed him on Real Madrid’s central forward position.
The 2022 Ballon d’Or winner said “For me, Mbappé is not a 9. He’s a left winger”.
“But the problem is that at left wing, there’s Vinicius Jr who’s the best in the world”.
Mbappe joined the spanish gaint as a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain earlier in the summer. Mbappe has already scored eight goals across 14 games in all competitions.
Former Real Madrid central forward said that his fellow country man knew that at Real Madrid there is a lot pressure.
“Mbappé knows that there is a lot of pressure at Real Madrid”.
“At Madrid, you go 2,3 matches without goals, they’ll k*ll you. You can win the Ballon d’Or and you don’t score in 3 matches after it, the same…”, he said.
