Former Warriors goalkeeper, Tatenda Mukuruva, has found himself facing heavy criticism after he flaunted his American girlfriend on social media.
Now playing for Michigan Stars, a lower-league side, Mukuruva recently shared pictures of his girlfriend as he celebrated her birthday.
Tatenda was once married to his high school sweetheart, Amanda Gonga, and the couple shares a child. However, when he moved to America, his marriage hit turbulent waters, leading to a separation. Following this separation, Tatenda found new love in America in the arms of a white woman. Smitten by his new girlfriend, Tatenda has been sharing couple goals by posting about her on social media.
Seeing as it is her birthday today, Tatenda Mukuruva decided to post pictures of himself with his girlfriend out and about on what seems like a date.
Captioning the pictures, he simply wished her a happy birthday. He wrote;
Happy birthday to the Queen 🤎 🎂🎉
Commenting on his Facebook post, Zimbabweans cautioned him about dating a white woman, citing examples like Ndoro’s situation, where critics claimed the partner might leave him with nothing. Others questioned why he parted ways with his wife in Zimbabwe. Another section on social media even advised him to take notes from footballer Hakimi Achraf, who placed all his assets in his mother’s name.
