Former Manchester City striker, Gabriel Jesus’ second-half hat-trick inspires Arsenal to Carabao Cup in a dramatic comeback win over the league rivals Crystal Palace to reach the Carabao Cup semi-finals.
Crystal Palace took the earlier lead through Jean-Philippe Mateta ‘s strike in the first three minutes of the first half but Gabriel Jesus hit a second-half hat-trick to put the Gunners 3-1 up before Eddie Nketiah pulled one back against his former club in 85th minutes.
The Brazilian forward came into the game with one goal in his previous 33 Arsenal outings in all competitions but his treble rescued Mikel Arteta’s side who fell behind to Crystal Palace. During the first half play, Crystal Palace was dominating the game but Arteta brought on captain Martin Odegaard at half-time to fixed these issues.
Jesus eventually broke the Palace resistance eight minutes after the break when the influential Odegaard found the striker in the box and his turn bamboozled Marc Guehi. His deft chip over Henderson was even better.
Gabriel Jesus’ last night is his first hat-trick in two years, he scored his last hat-trick in April 2022, when he was playing for Manchester City.
