Popular radio broadcasting company Star FM has found itself embroiled in controversy after excluding multi-award-winning Zimdancehall chanter Winky D from their “ZimNtulikazi” poster.
Seeing as it is the 1st of July, Star FM took to their Facebook page and shared their “ZimNtulikazi” poster. Captioning the poster, they wrote;
The backlash intensified as users voiced their frustration, with comments ranging from calling Star FM’s actions disgraceful and petty to suggesting that the radio station should first celebrate Winky D’s contributions before promoting other artists.
The controversy took a personal turn when individuals accused Star FM of being biased against Winky D and attempting to undermine his status as a homegrown talent.
