CHAMPIONSHIP dark horses, Manica Diamonds and Dynamos will have their title credentials under scrutiny when they clash in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League showdown at Gibbo Stadium tomorrow afternoon.
The two sides are playing catch-up on pacesetters, Ngezi Platinum Stars and still have a mathematical chance of clinching the coveted prize.
They occupy fourth and second places respectively, with the Mutare side (47) trailing the log leaders (57) by 10 points, while the Harare giants (49) are eight points off the pace. The Gem Boys and DeMbare both have a game in hand over Madamburo.
Victory for either side in this re-scheduled encounter will brighten their prospects of being crowned champions.
Manica Diamonds get into the match on the back of a single win, two draws and as many losses in their previous five games, while Dynamos have managed three wins as well as a draw and loss apiece.
The diamond miners will be looking to continue with their winning form after defeating Hwange 2-0 in the previous league game, while the Glamour Boys are brimming with confidence after dispatching city rivals, CAPS United by the same scoreline on Sunday to reach the Chibuku Super Cup final.
The reverse fixture between Manica Diamonds and Dynamos ended in a 0-0 stalemate in May.
