Jessani, the now-infamous fan of Nigerian singer Omah Lay, recently took to TikTok to address the controversy surrounding her steamy on-stage performance with the singer.
This comes after she faced widespread criticism for publicly humiliating her now-ex boyfriend during the live performance.
Public Apology and Explanation:Jessani Takes to TikTok to Apologize to Her Ex-Boyfriend and Clarify the Situation
In a recorded video, Jessani publicly apologized to her ex boyfriend. Jessani revealed in her video that she had apologised to her ex-boyfriend privately but thought it best to apologise and address other things publicly.
“I want to publicly apologize to him. Obviously, me and him have had private conversations, and we spoke, but since it was public, I think the right thing for me to do is to publicly apologize to him like that was bad.”
An Honest Mistake: Jessani Claims On-Stage Raunchy Performance with Omah Lay Was Unintentional
Jessani also stated that her on-stage raunchy performance with Omah Lay was an honest mistake.
It was honestly a mistake; like, if I knew this would like this would go this… I wouldn’t even go to the concert, because this does not worth the hate I am receiving.”
Ticket Purchase and Consent: Jessani Reveals She Bought the Concert Tickets and Discusses Prior Agreement with Ex-Boyfriend
Jessani also clarified that she was the one who paid for the concert tickets and not her boyfriend. Jessani said she bought the tickets because she is a huge fan of Omah Lay and wanted to have fun with her boyfriend at the concert.
Surprisingly Jessani claims that prior to being selected by Omah Lay to dance with him on stage, she and her ex-boyfriend had already discussed the possibility of that happening. She claimed that her ex-boyfriend was okay with it and even on the day Omah Lay chose her, she claims her ex-boyfriend did not have any issue with her dancing alongside the singer.
Jessani’s explanation sparked a storm on social media as netizens slammed her for humiliating her now-ex boyfriend.
Netizens accused her of lying and shamed her for not taking accountable for her behaviour.
